Koffret, a menu bar app that clears the crowding at the top of the Mac screen, is now available

LIFE SCAPE, K.K. (head office: Chuo City, Tokyo; representative director: Hisashi Hirajo) released Koffret, a menu bar organizer for macOS, on September 5, 2026. It is 1,980 yen including tax, paid once, and every feature can be tried free for 14 days.

Background: the more apps sit in the menu bar, the further away the one you need

In the macOS menu bar, each app takes its own place and cannot be moved out. As the number grows, the area left of the clock turns into a row of small, indistinguishable marks, and on a MacBook with a notch the overflow disappears off the screen entirely, beyond reach.

Koffret hides the icons you are not using to the left of a divider and brings them out only when you want them.

Features

• Menus open in place, still hiddenPress an icon and the bar stays folded, while the menu opens exactly where that icon would be. Nothing flickers.
• Revealed icons keep their real appearanceBattery figures, notification badges and graphs all stay as they are. Nothing is replaced with a lookalike.
• Shown only while a condition holdsBattery level, whether power is connected, the time of day, the app in use, or the exit code of a script you wrote. An icon appears while the condition holds and withdraws when it stops.
• Type part of a name to find and open itSets of icons can be named per task and switched between. The mark at the far left can be turned back into the old six-color stripes.
• Moving over from another appBartender's three categories, shown, hidden and always hidden, can be imported and carried over as they are.

Price and requirements

Koffret is 1,980 yen including tax, paid once, with no monthly fee. It can be tried free for 14 days with no credit card required, and one license covers up to three Macs.

It runs on macOS 14 or later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel, and is distributed signed and notarized by Apple. The interface is available in 30 languages.

Paying once means the major version you bought stays yours with no expiry, and fixes for that line keep arriving.
