Rather than accept that received wisdom, we push technology and systems as far as they will go, and open up what a business can be.

Hello. I am Hisashi Hirajo, founder and CEO of Lifescape.
I started this company for one reason: I could not shake the feeling that the company, as an institution, was locking away human potential.
My twenties, spent inside a brutal workplace. The days after that, when I felt for the first time how free a freelance contract could be. And the gap I kept running into: companies needed individuals, but nothing existed to connect them.
My first product, @SOHO, was the answer to all of it.
10 billion yen, run by one person. That is not a fantasy. It is a strategy.
I have come this far with no debt and no investors, building the product myself and growing the service myself. It is my way of answering one question: what structure produces the greatest output at the scale where a single person can move most freely?
There is such a thing as a one person unicorn.
By showing that it can be done, I want to break the assumption that you have to belong to a company in order to work.

Our business is not simply about providing services. It is about rewriting the structure of work itself.
